Today’s moving day (wahoooooo!) so we thought we’d slap up this week’s giveaway this morning to tide you over until we have a moment to post some house-related updates. Oh yeah, and it just happens to be the biggest giveaway we’ve ever done. By a long shot.
So I’ll get to the point. It was almost exactly one year ago that I first used a wet saw. It was love at first site, er, cut. And today we’re sharing the love, thanks to some help from The Tile Shop. And boy is it a lot of love to share. $3000 worth of love to be exact.
You guys probably already know The Tile Shop as an awesome spot for tile, tiling supplies, and even free DIY support (both online and in stores). In fact, a lot of stuff for our bathroom remodel last year was purchased there (or borrowed from my dad, who had purchased it there). So if any of you need the kick in the pants to get your next tiling job started (kitchen backsplash? bathroom update?) here it is: TWO of you are going to win a $950 gift card to The Tile Shop and a deluxe wet saw valued at $550. Who’s suddenly got tile fever?
Here are all the deets when it comes to getting your chance at our biggest prize to date:
- PRIZE: This wet saw and a $950 gift card from The Tile Shop (valued at 3K, baby).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “TILE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … let’s gush about tile. What sorts of tile are you loving? Warm natural stone surrounding an open shower? Glam metallic subway tile on a kitchen backsplash? Or maybe a modern mosaic on a fireplace surround?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 15th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: The lower 48 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
Before we get to the winners names, everyone should know that you automatically get $20 off any order over $200 through the holiday. Not too shabby, eh?
Our two extremely lucky winners (as selected by random.org) are… Nadia (who just starting a huge kitchen remodel) and Heidi Kruger (who’s looking to do subway tile in her kitchen and to re-tile two bathrooms) Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from The Tile Shop.

TILE ME!!! I have two bath rooms with sheet linoleum that I am just dying to tile! I am thinking that the small guest one would look great with a white marble penny tile floor…while the master bath would look grand with a larger 12×24 modern ceramic tile. But honestly at this point any tile would be better than the 14 year old linoleum!!! So PLEASE, tile me!!!

TILE ME!!
I really like modern looking glass tiles, but I think my favorite has to be white Carrera marble tile. Nothing beats that classic, elegant look.
Dawn says
TILE ME!!!!
I have a really sad and pathetic bathroom that could use some new tile on the floors and the shower and my kitchen could use some new floor tiles as well (I’ve seen people use vinyl tiles and it looks awesome but I clearly do not have the knack for putting those things on without creating a huge mess). I am loving big 12 inch or even 16 inch tiles in beatiful greys and smokey blues.
Jen says
TILE ME!!!!! Please!!! I have like four HUGE tile projects that could be done. My kitchen back splash (that I’m just going nuts wanting to do), plus three bathrooms that need some serious updating. This would definitely help get a good start on it. And I’m totally digging the natural stone all over the bathroom. I also really like the natural stone look or the Mediterranean tile back splash.
And good luck today with moving and closing!

We’re just about to take the leap and do a master bath remodel. I’d love a nice subway tile look with maybe a more luxe tile as a frame around that.
Deirdre says
Tile Me!!! Pretty Please. My husband and I are newly weds and last year he tiled our whole bathroom and kitchen! But he actually had to borrow a wet saw to do it. We are now looking to buy our first home in March or April and all he has been talking about is how he can’t wait to start a new tiling project. We both at going nutty for the subway glass tiles for our kitchen backsplash as well as some really nice natural stone in the bathroom (with heating coils! It’s cold in New England). It would mean so much to me to be able to win this for him.
Lemon says

I luuuurve me some glass mosaic. I’m dying to do my kitchen backsplash!! This is an awesome giveaway!!!
Siiri says
TILE ME! I finished the kitchen last April (well, I didn’t but the contractor did) and I’m waiting to do the upstairs bathroom – it currently sports 7 year old vinyl sheet flooring, and I have no idea what’s under that!
Felicity says
TILE ME! We desperately need this. Our home’s previous owners never finished the kitchen back splash and we’ve been putting off the project because we don’t have the right tools. We’re also facing the same issue that you had with your old bathroom tile, looks good from afar, but it’s far from good.
kim says
TILE ME! I love subway tile for our bathroom.

I love the classic white subway tile!

a truly amazing giveaway. I think I’d end up giving the tiles saw to my dad, since we live in an apartment. We’d get to use it, and he’d have a nifty new toy for his workshop, everyone wins!
Lindsay P. says
“TILE ME!” My kitchen could totally use a subway tile backsplash. A soft gray or beige would be perfect!!
Alicia Theisen says
Tile me!!!!
I love the subway tiles and glass tiles and we want to do our backsplash, so this would be perfect!
Meredith says
TILE ME! My favorite tile is currently the wood grain ceramic tile. It’s in our bathroom now and I want it in the kitchen ASAP.
Ashley Parsons says
TILE ME!
I love warm, colorful tiles that have texture as well as tiles that are traditional (subway). I look forward to creating an amazing kitchen/bathroom of my own one day :)
Mandy says
TILE ME!!!
My husband and I would love a wet saw! We borrowed one from a friend when we redid our guest bathroom in our 1920 house. I wanted marble subway tiles, but not with the price! So we hand cut a 12×12″ tile to make them what we wanted! We have more rooms to do, and the tile saw would come in so handy :)
Jamie says
TILE ME!! I love the look of travertine tile and mosaic tile backsplashs (but maybe not together)
August says

I’m loving subway tile, I would like to put turquoise in the kitchen, right after I get that stubborn faux brick out of there. And to quote you guys, it’s, “the year of the kitchen”, in this house. Bring. It. On.
