***Uh oh – looks like we like we hit capacity on this post with over 10,000 comments! But this giveaway is closed anyways, so I guess it’s okay.***
It’s no secret that we love West Elm (we own two daybeds and a desk among other things from their store). So let’s just say that we’ll be mighty jealous of the person who wins this week’s FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR gift card there (four year blogiversaries are for big prizes, after all). And not that you asked, but if you need any help picking out what to buy – might we suggest some of these lurvely items below (Sherry had trouble picking just six things, so we added an extra row and went with nine):
Not only is West Elm helping us celebrate four years of blogging, they’re also celebrating the launch of their new blog Front & Main (named for the Brooklyn street corner where their original brick-and-mortar store sits). Front & Main actually officially launches next week, but they’re giving all of us a sneak peek today. Oh and if you scroll down a bit while you’re there, you might recognize some familiar faces…
- PRIZE: A $500 gift card to West Elm (!!)
- TO ENTER: Comment on THIS OTHER POST with the words “WEST ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …since we’re celebrating starting our blog four years ago, tell us how your world is different than it was in 2007. Do you live in a new place? Have a new job? Are you in a new relationship? Or maybe you just have a new hairdo or tattoo?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, September 21st at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We weren’t paid or perked for hosting this giveaway, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of West Elm.

Everything is different than it was in 2007! In 2007, I was an unemployed law student and I’d just started dating a fellow law student. Now, I’m gainfully employed as an attorney, happy with my BF of almost 3 years, and prepping myself for a cross-country move to start a new chapter with him! Sooo, we SO need this gift card to liven up our new place (which he’s already living in, since starting a new job in July). I never win anything, but I don’t know – I have a good feeling about this one! So puh-lease – WEST ME!

Since 2007 I’ve met the love of my life and JUST moved in with him. Surprisingly enough our favorite home purchase just might be our West Elm Rug, as long as you don’t count our bed.

“West Me”!! I got married in 2007. We just celebrated 4 years together and I STILL cannot decide on how to decorate our bedroom. I think we’re on our 3rd set of bedding! I know this gift card could help me seal the deal on our master bedroom and maybe “inspire” us to have a BABY!

Happy Blogiversary, YHL. I’ll keep putting the “young” in your readership: in 2007 I was still in college. And my 20-something studio apartment still kind of looks like I am, so my fingers are crossed to win this giveaway and use the West Elm bucks to buy some ‘adult’ furniture.

WEST ME! Oh man a lot has changed since 2007. 2007 was a grand year for me. I quit my job to come home to be a stay-at-home mommy, but after 2 years my husband and I realized we just couldn’t financially do it. So since then I have come back to work. :/ But we’ve been blessed too. We have a new addition to our family…..a baby girl!

2007 changed everything, because that’s when we became parents. :)
In 2008, my hubby graduated from grad school.
In 2009, we had our second son and I graduated from grad school. We then moved from Massachusetts to Virginia (Cville).
In 2011, we had our third son and moved again to good ol’ BA!
It’s been a busy four years. :)

What’s new since 2007? Tons! IN 2007 I was working very hard 60 hours a week for a boss who didn’t appreciate me and living with my parents an hour away from where I worked. Four years later, I have my J.D., my very own place to make my own, and a wonderful guy who is my best friend. And I love West Elm!

My life is so different now from 4 years ago! In two days, I’ll be celebrating 4 years of marriage. In 2007, my husband was preparing to leave for a 15-month deployment to Iraq. We wouldn’t get to live in the same state until 2009.
Now, we’re living in the same state (AND the same house!). It’s been a fantastic journey. We couldn’t be happier.

I got married in 2007, so there’s that. We added a second cat to the mix that year, too. Also, we’ve moved 4 times(!) and we’ve both started new jobs. What a difference 4 years makes!

In 2007 I was ushering my last child(out of 4)out the door to college. Things have been pretty quite after raising four active kids, but I have enjoyed actual decorating (without considering function). But now that my little (housewreckers) darlings
are out on there own it would be fun to give them some money to decorate their own houses
