AHH! Joss Me! I’m in LOVE! Our current house was definitely a lucky moment! I refreshed Craigslist at *just* that right moment and nabbed the first visit. We showed up at the door and thrust a check in their hands like crazy people, and it was ours! Yea, Arlington, VA is the housing jungle. Also we just had a Giant open three tenths of a mile away so that is pretty sweet too : )

JOSS ME! We actually haven’t had much luck in this house. We are on a tight-teacher-salary that doesn’t leave us with much moola to decorate. Winning would be my luckiest home improvement to date :)

Joss Me! i think I have two “lucky” moments. My husband and I found an almost brand new sofa and loveseat for $200 for the set. I recently went to drop off some things at a thrift store and noticed they were having a 50% off sale on everything in the store! I went in and found a table lamp and lamp shade for $2.40! I was so excited because the lamp was the exact shape I had seen at another store and would not buy because of the price. SCORE!

Joss me! My luckiest moment in homeownership was finding lots of volunteers to help lay our laminate flooring during the heat of the summer while I was 7 months pregnant.

Before we bought our home we had offered and been outbid on two other properties. We didn’t think we had much of a chance, but we offered on the house in the hills in the great school area! WELL….lucky, lucky ,us we got it….six years later we are loving it and still making it our own. Third time is the charm!

My luckiest furniture moment was scoring our entertainment stand for the sale price with a rain check and then an additional discount. It was an awesome savings and makes me love it even more!

We found our home on the first day it was listed…no, seriously! We almost passed it right up (zero curb appeal) and here’s the kicker, we were the only bidders!

I wish I could think of such a lucky moment, but it’s eluding me! This weekend, my lower level (all 3 bedrooms) flooded, and I’m currently hearing the sweet sounds of one million dryers going. I could use a little luck.

Finding a beautiful slab of granite at a great price. (The piece had different colors at each end. It was enough to do two bathroom vanities only buying one slab!)
LUCKY MOMENT!

JOSS ME! One of your examples of lucky moments is actually what just happened to my husband and I. The very first day it went on the market we made an offer. It was exactly what we were looking for! We closed a week ago and move into our new home in just a few weeks. Blake and I are thrilled to move in and we just need decor/furniture to complete it :) Lots of space with nothing to fill it with ha! Thank you for the excellent contest. I love your blog.

My “luckiest” home decorating experience was some artwork from Target that my husband and I registered for before we got married. We had extremely opposite decorating tastes, but agreed on that piece. We’ve designed our whole house off it! Similar to Sue the Napkin. :)

The luckiest thing that ever happened to me is finding our first house. Its in an amazing town we normally would have never been able to get in to. However, we were the first to see it and the first offer in and they accepted it even though it was a low one!! Still can’t believe it!

JOSS ME!!! I lucked out one day when I was in Goodwill and scored a changing table in perfect condition for $30. When I got home I discovered it was from the same collection as my grandsons chest of drawers so it matched like it was bought together.

My luckiest moment in home ownership so far is yet to come…our baby is due October 1. It’s definitely inspiring my DIY side: making the quilt, rug, curtains, pillows, and more for this little boy or girl.

Luckiest moment, the first and only regular sale house we looked at we liked and the owner tipped us off as to when they were reviewing the multiple offers (the following morning) so we beat our feet back to the realtors office to write an offer… After 6 failed offers on short sales and foreclosures our offer was ACCEPTED on Friday the 13th!
