One look at Pinterest and I don’t feel quite so alone in my fascination with maps. So to everyone else out there who digs a little cartography in their design, hold on to your seats. This week the people behind Wallpapered are giving one of you a nice big 8ft x 5ft world map wallpaper kit so that you can add a map-tastic mural to your home. As much as I love the various world map styles they offer, the coolest feature (at least to me) is that you can also get custom area map wallpaper that basically zooms into a postal code of your choosing. So you could order custom wallpaper showcasing your favorite big city – or even the small town that you grew up in.

    WORLD ME! We’re in love with a very rural area on the shores of Lake Michigan that is so special to our family. Can’t give you a name… we don’t want everyone to crash our secret sanctuary. :-)

    World me! This is such a great idea – my husband and I are from the Chicago area suburbs so would probably want something that contains the city and the surrounding ‘burbs.

    World Me! I love Dayton, OH! It’s the place I went to college, where I met my husband, and where we have made our home as a family. I love my little city and all the wonderful opportunities it holds.

    WOOHOO! WORLD ME!
    Perth, Australia, has a special place in my heart. It’s where I grew up and where I live with my husband, but it’s also the most remote capital city in the world. The saying “It’s a small world” applies doubly to Perth, because it is so isolated. But the beaches are perfect, the weather is gorgeous and it’s a beautiful place to grow up in.

    World Me! Lake of the Ozarks, MO! We currently live here; but my husband and I also met here, graduated high school here, and bought our first house here. The lake is beautiful and not like anywhere else I’ve ever been!

    WORLD ME! My absolute favorite city is Edinburgh, Scotland. I just love the idea of a city built around a castle built on top of an extinct volcano. I love the feeling of walking along the Royal Mile between the Castle and Holyrood Palace.

    Years ago, I spent a semester in college just outside of Edinburgh, and my niece spent this past semester in London, so I was able to visit her and take her up to Edinburgh for a weekend. It was wonderful to share my favorite city with her!

    WORLD ME! Being a military spouse who lives anywhere but her hometown, I would cherish the uniqueness of having my small hometown of Camp Hill, PA on one of my walls. It is a place that will always have my heart- a small town with inviting families, good schools, and a real sense of character! It would further remind me each day my family and friends in Camp Hill, PA :-)

    I’d love to have a giant map of Zurich on my wall. My husband and I traveled there last year and it was awesome!! Actually I’ve been debating about whether or not to decorate our nursery with maps, so this would be perfect :)

    London is very special to me as it is where I honeymooned with my most beautiful wife, and it is her favorite city, so to see her light up talking about London makes me very happy as well.

    WORLD ME! I grew up in Detroit, and still love the downtown landscape. I have always wanted a large downtown Detroit wall map! I think it would be the perfect piece to allow me to not feel so far away, (seeing as how I live in San Antonio now).

    World Me! Cape Town, South Africa. My husband and I traveled there for the World Cup and it was absolutely stunning. We are currently decorating our nursery in a map/travel theme and this wallpaper would look Uh-maze-ing it is!
