As an epilogue to our open closet makeover, I thought I’d post these tiny hanging labels that I made in all of five minutes. The devil really is in the details, and they look adorable (and they’re functional too). I whipped up one that says “sheet sets”, another that says “beach towels” and a third that’s labeled “hand towels & washcloths”.
All it took was a scissors, some twine, and some thick paper (I happened to have some extra white poster board laying around). I just cut out a few tag-shaped pieces of paper and poked a hole in each one with a needle so I could work the thread through. Sweet, huh? And free to boot.

What a cute idea! I just came across a package of paper tags that I had picked up at a paper warehouse awhile back. They are slightly yellow/cream and have a hole built right in, and a string is included for each tag. I think the package of 50 was about $2! You have inspired me to do something creative with them. I will keep you posted on what I come up with.

So adorable! It will really make it easier to find things, that’s for sure! Great job!

Oops,
I’ll really have to try that!

Great idea! Definitely will have to try that. :)

So cute!!! If only I had nice handwriting, then I could do that. I guess I will just have to print labels. :( Great ideas though, I love your blog!

I love tags! :) If you ever want to get some awesome, inexpensive tags made for you I found this lady on etsy and she rocks: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5015388
I just wanted to say that I’m loving all of the new features on your website! I’m so excited because my husband and I are finally buying our first home (you can read about it on my blog!) and I will be able to join in on the decorating and renovation stuff finally instead of just drooling over everyone else’s projects!! :)
Keep up the great work! :)

I just wanted to stop in and say “hi”…and to tell you how surprised I was when I was flipping through a little magazine from Better Homes and Gardens called “Secrets of Getting Organized”, and I came across a picture of YOUR makeshift “mudroom” and part of your laundry nook! It’s on page 27. It was pretty cool. Thought you’d like to know. Have a happy weekend (and happy belated b-day as well).

Where did you find these baskets?
YoungHouseLove says
They were from Linens N Things a while back (from our wedding registry).
